Greenwich Parent Voice

Oftsed - more ways to participate

Message to parents from Joan Lightfoot, Head of Integrated Support for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / Children's Services, Royal Borough of Greenwich

"Dear Parents and Carers,

You may be aware that the Local Area is going to be reviewed starting Monday 10th July, as to how effective it is in meeting the needs of children and young people who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.  This review will look at education, health(commissioners and providers) and care (children and Adults).

On Wednesday 12th July and Thursday 13th July  inspectors have requested to go into Rachel McMillian Nursery school, Bannockburn Primary school, Mulgrave Primary school, James Wolfe Primary school, Eltham Hill Secondary School, Woolwich Poly Secondary school, Charlton Park Academy and Shooters Hill Post 16 College.

At each of these there will be a group meeting for parents to meet an inspector.  If you would like to attend you will need to contact the school to request details. Parents of children at those schools will have already received a letter from the head teacher.

Thank you
Joan Lightfoot
Head of Integrated Support for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / Children's Services, Royal Borough of Greenwich"
